Rob adapts brilliantly

Huge congratulations to Rob, who passed his test in Folkestone yesterday (13th August). Passing is always a great achievement, but Rob’s success was even more noteworthy because he was in an unfamiliar vehicle, having had about 45 minutes to get used to it. This is because my usually very reliable Hyundai i30 needed an urgent repair and was unavailable for the test (a situation that emerged less than 24 hours beforehand and was sorted just a couple of hours after Rob’s test). Thankfully, Michelle Melia (a driving instructor colleague based in Hawkinge) very kindly offered to rearrange a couple of lessons so Rob could use her Peugeot 208 for the test, which Rob and I will be eternally grateful for! Thank you, Michelle!

Rob’s achievement was also particularly satisfying because, living and working in London, he had been doing lessons in the capital, but just could not get a test locally, so after a break decided to book a test in Folkestone, with a whole new area to learn and very different requirements to a typical London test route.
